Why can't I open or merge any AutoCAD dwg files in Wysiwyg R27 anymore.

    Hello,

I have been working with R27 for many years and been able to open or merge AutoCAD 2007 dwg files in the past.
I can't do it anymore, all I ever get is a "file loading error!"

As a test, I have drawn a single 10m long line from the origin in AutoCAD 2007 (Windows), saved it in a file on my desktop, and then tried to open it in Wysiwyg R27.

No success... just a "loading error"

It's very frustrating as it used to work.

Can someone help me with a solution please?

    Thanks, John

    Hello John,

That is very strange. Am I correct to assume that something isn't somehow corrupting the files you are creating in AutoCAD 2007--are you able to open them (in AutoCAD, I mean) after saving and closing? Have you attempted to import an AutoCAD 2007 .dwg or. dxf file which you KNOW you were able to import in the past?

It is possible that something has gone wrong with your WYSIWYG installation, so you may wish to either Repair it or uninstall and reinstall it, all of which can be accomplished via the Programs and Features control panel.

    Cheers,

    Dany
