I'm currently working on preparing lighting for a live production. I'm currently working with Chauvet Showxpress (basic computer lighting software) that has an artnet output. I'm attempting to connect this output into Wyg, so I'm able to visualize. I've been able to get the artnet ouput sending over a network, which I'm monitoring using artnetominator. The problem I'm having lies with connecting the artnet data with Wysiwyg. I've figured out that both pieces of software use an independent Artnet port on their own IP address, so I currently have two laptops hooked up directly over ethernet. The first laptop is sending Artnet data to the second computer which has Wyg on it. I confirmed that the second computer is receiving the artnet, but I can not figure out how to get Wyg to recognize and use the artnet data. Any insight helps. Thanks!
Try setting up Wygalizer on your wyg system. http://luminex-wygalizer.software.informer.com/1.3/ Its been a while since I set it up but I do know it works. as I use this method before in the past.
There is also the Art-Net driver that ships with WYSIWYG, the use of which is described in the WYSIWYG Reference Guide (Appendix B).
WYGALIZER is available from its manufacturer's website as well: go to http://www.luminex.be/support/product-support/, then click on the Software filter on the left. (It's always best to download from the manufacturer's website, in order to ensure you get the latest version. )
