Hello, is there an easy way to identify the length of truss with colour? It is hard to see the length of small truss and i would like to add a colour to it or maybe a number the same way u can do with a fixture. Or alternatively, is there a way to select truss by length and not all the truss at once. I have a total of 1400 truss pices in this project and i dont want to do this manualy if posible. Also i dint know where to place this question so i put it here. if this should be elsewhere on the board please let me know. Thanks in advance, Matthieu
Hi Hi, I was just thinking noting the same. How about putting all different lengths in different layers and then making a layer group of the whole truss section? That would work for me I think... Sander
Sander, i have 40+ layergroups with 5 layers already with detailed information. if i have to split up all those layers in even more layers its gonna be a hell, then i might as wel just do them one by one. I did tink of it, thanks for the sugestion but i need someting else. matthieu
As you are probably aware, all truss is put into the Native Objects category of "Truss", which in your case in not even close to specific enough. Depending on the drawing you can add Continue Dimension to identify the lengths, and that would probably be faster than ungrouping truss marking all the 2m pieces picking a color marking all the 1m pieces picking a color marking all the ... grouping truss again Maybe the developers could add a "Choose all instances of this truss section/piece" in the Shortcuts section?
Wel there is a truss manager if they just add a posiblility to change the collor in there, that would be great.
A feature/update to address these concerns will be introduced in either R39 (due this summer) or R40 (due at the end of the year).
Dany, thanks for the great feature, is it posible to add legend or key for truss now that you can set colours to them? i had to manualy make it for now but this would be nice to use a wizard for this in the future. Thans in advance, Matthieu
