To make all fixture symbols appear perpendicular to the hang structure they are hanging from regardless of where they are focused, simply enable the "Line Up Symbols" option:

    1. In the Options menu, select Show Options.
    2. In the window that appears, switch to the Object Settings tab.
    3. Check the "Line up symbols" option, and set the angle to '360'.

Please note that if you do this after creating a New Plot, you must switch to the New Plot, right-click, and select "Update New Plot" in order to ensure that the symbol alignment setting is enabled here as well.

The different angle settings for this option determine the closest angle that the fixtures will 'snap' to, depending on where they are focused. (Naturally, the fixtures' focus remains unchanged, regardless of the Line Up setting.) Here are a few examples:

    Line Up disabled:

    Symbols lined up at 360º:

LU_2.jpg > ... No matter where the fixtures are focused, they will always point towards the top of your screen.

    Symbols lined up at 45º:

LU_3.jpg > ... No matter where fixtures are focused, their symbols will snap to the closest 45º angle available.

    Symbols lined up at 90º:

LU_4.jpg > ... No matter where fixtures are focused, their symbols will snap to the closest 90º angle available.
