Morning! We're doing a botanical garden lighting project, and I can't find a way of getting line lengths. All fixtures are on the floor, so I've drawn lines for the power and data cables, and I would like to select a line and know how long it is, to calculate the cable I need. Maybe there is a tool for this, but I just can't find a way to do this, other than use "distance" to measure each segment. I've read that there will be a cable feature for 2021 Merry christmas!
Make sure you’ve got “tool tips” turned on and then just hover your mouse over the line. The length is then shown in the pop up menu that appears.
... and if you need to show the length on your plot, you may draw Linear Dimensions for the lines. Yes, we will try very hard to introduce a cable feature in 2021, but this is not something I can promise at this time -- and if it does come, this will not happen until the end of the year.
