There is a problem with how lighting fixtures export on an MVR file. They are just blocks. What is the timetable like to have these fixtures export with geometry?

Okay, So it looks like a lot of the most recent posts to this forum after January 2023 have been deleted but I have to revive this one after zero response from you all.

WYG MVR exporting is garbage. When can we expect this to be resolved. Its a useless feature on your end right now.

    Hey Joe,
I've succsefully exported from WYG 49 to Capture recently without any issues and the fixtures exported correctly ? I've had issues importing MVR files but that's a different issue.

Apologies for the very late reply here.

@Joe, I am sorry you feel that way. What you are pointing out is by design, and is clearly explained in point 11 in our MVR FAQ/KB article, https://cast-soft.com/tech-resources/mvr-knowledge-base-known-issues-and-faq/, which I recommend that you read -- in fact, I recommend that you read that entire page.

As @Cormac mentioned, if you import a WYSIWYG-exported MVR into Capture, their fixture mapper will place the correct fixture models (Capture's own models, in this case) into the resulting .c2p file. I'm assuming, however, that you are importing into Vectorworks or grandMA3, neither of which feature a fixture mapper like Capture's (or WYSIWYG's), in which case you will have to replace fixtures manually as described in our FAQ/KB. (I do not know what might happen if you import into Depence2 because I do not have access to that software.)
