    Hi,
Maybe some of you might add to this thread.
Can anyone tell me what they change or add in Presentation mode to make your drawings look better when printed or viewed online.

-Do you change all the default fonts?
-Do you change the line weights?
-Do you prefer to have the drawings mostly without colour when printed?
Anything that you have found makes a drawing look better.

I know there is no "default" way of producing a drawing but we all expect to see certain information contained
within a basic drawing title, legend, revision, notes etc.

    Thank you
    Cormac

In my template file I did the following:
    - changed the standard layout of spots and put that into a layout template
    - changed the fonts to sans serif for everything (I strongly dislike Times New Roman ;-) )
    - added a reasonable title block with predefined smart cels (I think there should be one or two included that you could actually use, designed by a graphic designer, come on Cast, you can do it)
    - have all my set layers in grey shape
    - changed the default filling of spots to make them jump out a bit more
    - Make line weight of the truss/pipes layer a little bit thicker
    - Change the drawing order so fixtures are always on top

it would look something like this: PNG-afbeelding.png

There are quite a few things that are not right though. Please have a look at the annotated version: PNG-afbeelding.png

    - I can’t get the type fonts of different sources (reports, legend, key, worksheet) the same size.
    - Images do not stay in place when you print or export as pdf. You can already see this if you insert an image and then zoom in and out on your layout. The image shifts and you have to take the average position?
    - The symbol of a key is not centered and therefore wasting space.
    - The legend does not use the whole available width, so it is not possible to get it any bigger. It is an equilibrium between size and a percentage of width, but not very clear.
    - It is very difficult to align a worksheet with a report item if you want to show the grid lines of the worksheet
