    Hello!

I'm fairly new to Wisywyg. I mainly draft in Vectorworks. I'm currently working on a project of replotting my theatrical design from VW into Wyg. Currently I have imported my lighting pipes and fixtures as DXF's into wyg. Is there a way to replace the fixture blocks with wisywyg fixtures? The only option that it gives me is choosing from the library instead of the fixture library. I made sure that the pipe is an actual existing pipe.

    Hello Nina,

Welcome to wysiwyg and to our Forum!

What you are asking for can only be done while you import the .DWG/.DXF file that you exported from VW. (The same applies when you import SketchUp files, should you ever need to do that.) This is described in the Importing DWG/DXF Files section of the Reference Guide, which is installed together with wyisiwyg; I also strongly recommend reading through our CAD Importing Guide to which the link is provided in the Reference Guide, at the end of the Importing section. (The Reference Guide is installed together with WYSIWYG (by default--unless you chose not to install it) and accessible from the Windows Start menu (> All Programs) > CAST Software folder.)

    Regards,
