To Whom It May Concern, Is there a way to develop a seating layout with a curve?? Or, is there a way to amend a prebuilt seating curve without having to amend each individual chair. An easier way will save me a lot of time. Thank you and I look forward to any possible solutions!
Hello Jayson, There is no way to build curved rows of chairs with the Seating Wizard at this time. However, this feature is on our list of improvements, and we hope to get to it soon (likely not in the next version though). To build a single curved row of seats though, you may use Vivien's Clone > Polar feature (found in the MODIFY menu) with the Rotate object option enabled. For information on how to use this feature, please consult Vivien Help, here. Regards,
... Actually, it occurs to me that a Polar Clone operation can only result in semi-CIRCULAR seating sections, which may be required in some cases, but generally not. If this is not the result you are looking for, draw a Spline or an Elliptical Arc starting from the chair that you inserted, in the direction along which the copies of the chair need to "extend", then use the Clone Along Path function, with the Align to Path option enabled, to create the curved row of chairs; click here for information about using Clone Along Path.
