Hi, Since R44 release, it's possible to export an Ultra High image from shaded view. I have 2 GTX 1070 bridged in SLI, so 2x8 GB video RAM, but I cant' choose this export option (in grey) ? Other problem (same problem ?) > when I use statistics, I only see ... I yet have16 Gb !? Can you solve this please? I ve yet contact cast support few weeks ago with no response Thanks !
To work around the issue of not being able to export when using SLI, please temporarily disable SLI. Both these issues are scheduled to be resolved in an update that will become available in late February/early March. Apologies for the inconvenience this is causing. As for having contacted support but not heard back, how did you contact us? If it was via the Members Only Area, you would have received a case number if your case was submitted successfully; may I have that number, please? Regards,
Thanks Dany ! So that means I can only use actually 8Go video memory due to this issue but soon I can have all 16 Go graphic RAM ? I contact tech support from MAO. Usually I've a response under 48h but this time I haven't receive any case number or answer mail.
You are already using "SLI power": just because the amount of video memory is not being reported quite correctly with SLI enabled, does not mean that WYSIWYG is not using SLI. (However, as specified in our Hardware Guide, using SLI will not increase performance as significantly as you may expect. Still, since you invested into an SLI system, it makes sense to keep the option enabled, and only disable it for Ultra High exports.) As for the actual amount of video memory being reported, I spoke too soon, as I was just reminded that when using SLI memory is mirrored, not combined (so you do not have 16GB of VRAM, but 8GB between the two cards). This Google search will confirm this, in case you wish to read more about it. Apologies for the misinformation. In conclusion, with R44 Update 2, you will be able to export Ultra High images with SLI enabled, but the amount of memory being reported in the Shaded View Statistics will remain the same. Cheers, Dany
